Recently, Guangzhou Zhiguang Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. has achieved consecutive major breakthroughs in market expansion, signing two landmark energy storage projects in Hotan, Xinjiang, and Wuxi, Jiangsu, respectively. Each contract exceeds the billion-yuan level, underscoring the company’s leading technological strengths and market competitiveness in grid-forming cascaded high-voltage energy storage.
In Northwest China, Zhiguang Energy Storage has formally signed a procurement contract with China Electrical Equipment Group Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. to supply a grid-forming cascaded high-voltage energy storage system for the WanNeng Minfeng Project.
Located in Hotan, Xinjiang, the project will, upon completion, significantly enhance local grid peak-shaving capability and renewable energy integration, supporting the region’s green and low-carbon transition. As a key national clean energy base, Xinjiang faces challenges related to grid stability and flexible regulation resources. Zhiguang Energy Storage’s system will provide active grid support, enhanced system inertia, and increased short-circuit capacity—delivering critical technical support for the smooth output of renewable power and the safe, stable operation of the grid, while creating a replicable “renewables + energy storage” benchmark.
Meanwhile, in East China, Zhiguang Energy Storage has also successfully signed an equipment supply contract for the Huishan Changan Subdistrict Energy Storage Power Station Project in Wuxi. The purchaser is Yangzhou New Concept Electric Co., Ltd., and the supplied equipment comprises Zhiguang Energy Storage’s self-developed cascaded high-voltage energy storage system. This project will further strengthen the company’s market presence in economically developed regions with strong energy demand.
For the Xinjiang project, the partner—China Electrical Equipment Group Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd.—is a subsidiary of a central state-owned enterprise. This collaboration marks a significant step forward for Zhiguang Energy Storage in entering the supply chain systems of large central SOEs. The successful signing of the Jiangsu project, meanwhile, demonstrates broad market recognition of the company’s products across diverse customer segments.
Zhiguang Energy Storage’s grid-forming cascaded high-voltage energy storage technology offers advanced features such as active grid support, increased inertia, and enhanced short-circuit capacity. It is particularly well suited for power systems with a high penetration of renewable energy, effectively alleviating grid pressure, improving wind and solar integration, reducing reliance on conventional thermal power, and lowering carbon emissions.
The signing of these two major contracts in succession not only reinforces Zhiguang Energy Storage’s technological leadership and market recognition in the cascaded high-voltage energy storage segment, but also lays a solid foundation for its nationwide market expansion. Through the delivery of multiple benchmark projects, the company continues to advance the integrated “renewables + energy storage” model, injecting strong momentum into the development of a new power system and supporting China’s dual-carbon strategy.
